The world is shrinking! Travel for business or pleasure has become easier with many countries operating an “open borders” policy between friendly neighbours.  However since 9/11, it is incumbent upon the enforcement and security communities to protect their territories from the duel threats of organized crime and terrorism.  The world’s longest open border is, of course, that between Canada and the United States.  These two countries have been integral in forming an international approach to cross-border investigations. Together with partners such as the United Kingdom with which both countries have ties, a broader approach to fighting these dual threats can become a reality. All three countries have elite teams and they now work together in Operation Tripwire!
